False killer whales live up to around 60 years, measure between 3.5 and 6 meters, and weigh between 0.9 and 2 tons. False killer whales are carnivorous; they may occasionally prey on small dolphins but mainly feed on fish such as bonito and tuna, as well as mollusks.
They inhabit deep tropical and temperate waters (200–2000 meters) of the Pacific and Indian Oceans, and can occasionally be observed in shallower waters.
Females reach sexual maturity around 8 - 12 years of age. The gestation lasts about 14 to 16 months, and the female gives birth to a single calf every 7 years

Falciform and straight dorsal fin, located in the middle of the back, long and pointed pectoral fins at the front of the body with a hump on the outer edge.
